Building a new home or commercial building is an exciting time. However, the process can be stressful and overwhelming for many people. There are many steps that need to be taken before the actual structure can be built, including site preparation like land grading, excavation, and underground utilities. Installing the pipe and wires that are needed to supply your building with power, water, and sewer lines is an essential but complex process.

At Kyle Calkins Excavation, our team of experts will work through each step of the underground utility installation process in order to ensure that your project is completed on time and within budget. We are committed to providing our clients with quality workmanship while maintaining open lines of communication throughout every phase of their project. Whether you need us to install or repair your sewer systems, hook up new power utilities, or lay piping for your water line, we’ve got you covered.

Sewer Repair

Broken sewer lines are a big problem for home and property owners. When your pipe bursts or leaks, you may be faced with expensive repairs, property damage, and even health hazards. Repairing your sewer systems is the best solution to prevent future problems from occurring. However, it can be difficult to know what type of repair will work best for your home or business depending on a number of factors, including how old the system is and how well it was installed. Additionally, septic set ups are very different from sewer systems and require a different approach for repairs.

Our team at Kyle Calkins Excavation has been working in this industry for many years and has seen all kinds of issues that can occur due to damaged sewer lines. Some of the common causes of sewer line damage include invasive tree roots that grow deep underground and puncture the pipes, old pipes that develop rust can start to corrode and cause leaks, extremely cold temperatures can cause pipes to freeze and crack, and clogged pipes that get too backed up and eventually burst. If your sewer line is damaged, you’ll most likely notice the signs right away. Some of these signs include flooding in your yard along with a foul smell, problems with water draining in your sinks, showers, and toilets, or water damage to your floors and walls. If you notice any of these signs, don’t hesitate to give us a call right away!

A sewer line break or backup can cause a lot of damage if left untreated. If your pipes have minimal damage, the best repair option will most likely be pipelining, which is a minimally invasive process utilizing an inflatable tube that is covered in epoxy and threaded through your pipes. Once it’s inflated, the epoxy will stick to the interior of the pipes and harden, effectively sealing any leaks. For more significant damage, certain areas of the sewer line will need to be removed and replaced. If your sewer system is severely damaged, our team will need to excavate and replace the entire thing.

We understand all the permits that are required for these types of projects and work diligently to ensure everything goes smoothly from start to finish.
